KAP second dosing: More reflections

KAP second dosing: More reflections

[Similar to a movie sequel, reading this without having read my first KAP blog (it's short) won't make as much sense.]

Standard prescriptions for Ketamine (K) involve two dosing sessions, so I recently did my second one. This time, I decided (based on prescribed options) to take 500 mg at once. Also, per my guide's recommendation, I preceded the medicine with some warm water and lemon juice, which may have increased the bioavailability of the K. After swishing for about 15 minutes, I spat the K out, spending the next 50 minutes on my journey.

The details of my experience aren't explicitly relevant for the purpose of this writing, but what follows is most important for those considering KAP. K has made my present more enjoyable, even now, several weeks after my first dosing. I'm noticing new things every day; my sensual world is situationally heightened; and my subjective experiences are more meaningful. My relationships flow better than ever. I awaken each day with a persistent anticipation of what I might learn, who I might serve, and how I might love.

How might my post-K experiences inspire you? Well, if you're struggling with anxiety, it's part of your body and mind. K can help you stay away from problem-saturated, imaginary futures and consistently engage in appreciation and gratitude for what is happening right now. K can help you use your body to remind you that it, your body, doesn't exist in an imaginary future, bringing clarity to the usual suspects of anxiety: the unknown and uncontrollable. Similarly, your body only exists as memories/stories related to your past. Yes, we all have scars, and some of us have pesky, ongoing bodily conditions from which we can never escape. But, with the neuroplasticity amplified by K, you can practice acceptance, healing, and other forms of reconciliation to create peace in your life now. By doing so, you may keep depression away. Additionally, you may decrease and/or eliminate the sting of your traumatic experiences as you practice a more complete engagement with your current safety and security. Of course, this recovery requires us to be really honest with ourselves: can my healing outpace my harm considering my current relationships, work, and/or other significant contexts? These highlights involving anxiety, depression, and trauma represent just some of the possible benefits one might receive from KAP. Please let me know if you have comments/questions about these reflections.
